DJ Skribble

 DJ Skribble (slated to appear at the Church this Thursday, August 3) began his career in the early '90s as a member of Young Black Teenagers, a tongue-in-cheek hip-hop crew whose Top 10 hit, "Tap the Bottle," landed it on a tour with Public Enemy and Primus. As a hip-hop DJ, Skribble later applied his talents to the booming electronica scene and quickly became one of the biggest names on that circuit, often headlining raves across the country. In addition to releasing nine mix albums of his own, the DJ -- who's worked with everyone from Pink to Anthrax -- is in demand for his remixing abilities. Skribble's keen sensibilities, which inform his blend of hip-hop, underground house and mainstream dance music, have made him a major player in the clubs for well over a decade.
