Eric Matelski is an alternative scene impresario who hosts arty-events that attract the night owls. Tonight at 11 p.m. Matelski is putting forward his latest effort with the help of his cohort, Hector Munoz (aka Hecktor Muoz). The two are hosting their on-going adventure in cutting edge entertainment at Dazzle Restaurant and Lounge that they’ve dubbed the Square Lounge.

According to Matelski, Square Lounge is the product of a combination of influences from the Cabaret Voltaire of the Dadaists to the funny hijinks of characters from old TV shows, with the whole thing held together through the consumption of cocktails by the audience who may take advantage of the many drink specials aimed at them.

Square Lounge is a multimedia event that this time will feature the DJ Silver Glass who’ll be spinning the disks along with live music performed by Chad Allen and Chadstract. Also on tap is the screening of a film by Rosa and Sena Molina, a performance by someone who goes by the name Tovio, among other freely-associated happenings. “Unique” might not be the best description of Square Lounge, though it’s apt, but the event is really more “oddball” than anything else, just like the unusual photo of the promoters above.

Stop by Dazzle Restaurant and Lounge tonight from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.; entry is $5, and you must be 21 or older. Call 303-839-5100 or visit www.dazzlejazz.com.
