Teachers Pet: Im a People Person (Lies told in resumés and during job interviews) at Buntport Theater, 717 Lipan Street, is the latest installation in a monthly series that gives participating audience members five minutes on stage to do anything relating to that months theme from singing to reading diaries, doing standup, storytelling and everything in between. Everybodys got a little creativity, says Buntport player Evan Weissman, so why not give them a platform to do that for five minutes? Its more than an open mike. Its like when someone says, Be funny that doesnt help. So we give them a little homework to start them off.
The show starts at 9 p.m., with an open sign-up at 8. So collect all those fraudulent resumés and think long and hard about every fib, misrepresentation or outright lie youve told to nab a job. No one will judge you here. They can do anything they want, says Weissman. We wont censor them. I assume people will come in with resumés and tell stories about things they did in an interview. Its fun to hear the crazy things people have done.Tickets range from $4 to $6 based on objects you draw from a hat (seriously). For more information, call 720-946-1388 or go to www.buntport.com.
